Payara Platform is Cloud-Native and Container-Friendly
The Payara Platform is production-ready and optimized for the cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments. It's compatible with the services you're already using, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and the Google Cloud Platform (among others).

- Taking Payara to the Cloud – Payara Platform has been developed and adapted for cloud environments for a while now and the list of features available to make life easier is growing longer with each release.
- Cloud Connectors in Payara Micro - the Payara Cloud Connectors are a collection of JCA adapters for use with various popular cloud messaging providers. These connectors can be deployed to Payara Platform version 172 or higher
- Payara Micro JCA Adapters – in this series of blogs, we'll show you how to use Payara Micro JCA Adapters:
- Domain Data Grid in Payara Server - in Payara Server 5, we introduced some major changes to the way clustering is working by creating the Domain Data Grid. It's easier to use, more scalable, more flexible and ideally suited for cloud environments and cloud-native architectures.

AWS & Kubernetes Native Discovery with Payara Micro - both Payara Server and Payara Micro can cluster together and share data using Hazelcast. Out-of-the-box, there is no configuration needed, since Hazelcast uses multicast to discover and join other cluster members. However, when running in cloud environments like AWS, for example, there are a lot of things which can stop discovery being quite so straightforward.
- Flexibility first - Payara Docker images allow a completely custom start-up configuration – we've designed the Payara Docker images so that the image can be used from scratch and also everything can be easily configured without building a custom Docker image.
